Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Information you give us at checkout

To fulfil an order we ask for, and store:

• your full name;
• your mobile number;
• your email address;
• your delivery address, city, state, pincode and country; and
• any order note you choose to add.

We do not require you to create an account. Guest checkout is the default.

Information we do not collect

We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials. Those are entered directly on the payment gateway’s page. All we receive back is a payment reference, a status, and the payment method type (for example “upi”).

Information collected automatically

Our servers keep short-lived technical logs — IP address, request path, timestamp and response status — for security monitoring, rate limiting and debugging. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Information stored in your browser

Your shopping cart is kept in your browser’s local storage so it survives a page reload. It stays on your device and is not transmitted to us until you check out. We may also remember the email address or mobile number you last used to look up orders, purely to save you retyping it. Clearing your browser data removes both.

2. How we use your information

We use your information only to:

• calculate your order total and validate stock availability;
• process your payment through our payment gateway;
• pack, dispatch and deliver your order;
• send you an order confirmation and delivery updates;
• let you look up your order on our tracking page;
• handle refunds, returns and support requests; and
• meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

3. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with:

• Cashfree Payments — your name, email, mobile number and order amount, so the payment can be processed. Cashfree handles this data under its own privacy policy.
• Courier partners — your name, delivery address and mobile number, so your consignment can be delivered.
• Our hosting and database providers — who store the data on our behalf under contract.
• Government authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information.

No other third party receives your personal information.

4. How long we keep it

Order records — including your name, contact details, delivery address and the items and prices in that order — are retained for eight years from the date of the order, as required by Indian tax and accounting rules.

Technical server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Abandoned checkouts that never resulted in a payment are cancelled automatically and purged periodically.

5. How we protect it

• All traffic to this site and its APIs is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.
• Admin accounts are protected by hashed passwords (bcrypt) and token-based sessions.
• Administrative APIs are authenticated, authorised and rate limited.
• Payment notifications from our gateway are cryptographically signature-verified before we act on them.
• Access to the production database is restricted to authorised personnel.

No system is perfectly secure, but we take these measures seriously and review them regularly.

6. Your rights

You may ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is wrong or out of date;
• delete your information — subject to the retention periods above, since we cannot delete invoice records we are legally required to keep; or
• stop sending you non-essential communications.

Write to us at support@angalammantraders.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

7. Children

This store is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices change. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
